JAMESTOWN – A city man faces drug charges after police found more than 230 bags of heroin at his McKinley Ave. home on Monday.
City police say 23 year-old Moises Lopez was charged after they not only allegedly found the drugs in his apartment, but also a loaded .38 caliber pistol, nearly $1,000 cash and items used to package and sell drugs.
The investigation took place at an apartment at 220 McKinley Ave.
Lopez was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is currently awaiting arraignment at the Jamestown City Jail.
It was Lopez’s second arrest in less than a year. In July 2015, he was one of 45 people charged as part of the Operation Horseback heroin and drug investigation. He was placed on probation as a result of those charges.
