JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man faces several charges after leading police on a high-speed chase through the city early Monday morning.
Jamestown police accuse 24 year-old Joshua Whalen of speeding through the city driving his vehicle the wrong-way down a one-way street. Whalen is also accused of running stop signs and making several unsafe turns. The chase took place just after 4:20 a.m. Monday. Whalen eventually stopped after turning down a dead end street. At that point he tried to flee on foot but was captured.
Whalen faces several charges including first-degree reckless endangerment, unlawfully fleeing police and obstructing government administration.
