JAMESTOWN – Jamestown City Officials will be hosting a public hearing tonight involving the allocation of federal funding to assist with community development and improvement.
According to a release from the city’s Department of Development, the hearing – which takes place annually – will allow officials to gain a better understanding of the housing, neighborhood, and economic development needs that might be addressed through the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME allocation for 2014.
In order to keep track of community priorities and new program ideas, the department has also developed an online survey for residents and groups, which can be found at www.surveymonkey.com/s/2014JamestownActionPLanSurvey. Hard copies of the survey are available upon request.
For your reference, a map of the CDBG Target Areas is listed below.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 6:30 PM, in the City Council Chambers, Second Floor, Municipal Building, 200 East Third Street, Jamestown.
