JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown city council will be holding a work session Monday evening in city hall.
Among the items to be reviewed is the purchase of more than $4700 in fire fighting equipment, using money recently given to the city through a grant from the department of homeland security. City officials will also discuss the abandonment of Martyn Alley, between 7th and 6th streets.
The work session begins at 7:30 p.m. Several committees will also meet tonight, including the Finance Committee (7 p.m.), Housing Committee (7 p.m.), Public Safety Committee (7:15 p.m.), and Public Works Committee (7:15 p.m.). All meetings will take place on the fourth floor of City Hall and are open to the public.
