The Jamestown City Council will hold its monthly voting session Monday in city hall, with a vote expected involving the construction of two pedestrian bridges for the Greater Jamestown Riverwalk.
The resolution involves contracting with Union Concrete & Construction to oversee the building of the bridges, which will connect the south side of the river near the BPU facilities to Panzerella Park, and then connect Panzerella Park to the north side of the river near the National Comedy Center property.
The majority of the $2 million project will be paid for with state funding.
Council members also plan to vote on $180,000 loan from the Jamestown Local Development Corporation (JLDC) to be used to help with the opening the Jamestown Brewing Company – a new microbrewery and restaurant at the Lillian V. Ney Renaissance Center, located on the corner of Third and Washington Streets.
Monday’s meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. on the second floor of city hall and is open to the public.
