Jamestown Business Owner Jailed Following Drug Arrest

December 6, 2013 By WRFA Radio 1 Comment

JAMESTOWN – A business owner on Jamestown’s east side has been arrested on drug-related charges. Jamestown police say 42 year-old Gerald Slaughter, owner and operator of Gerald’s Barbershop at 941 E. Second St., was arrested on Thursday following an investigation into the trafficking and selling of crack cocaine in the city.

According to police, after obtaining a search warrant, officers found a quantity of cocaine and money inside the business, along with metal knuckles and a billy club – both of which are illegal to possess in NY State.

More cocaine was also found inside Slaughter’s home.

Slaughter was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He is being held at Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.
