JAMESTOWN, NY – An ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of heroin in the Jamestown, NY area has resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the confiscation of half-a-pound of heroin.
According to a release from the Jamestown Police Department, and investigation led Investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the Jamestown Police, Town of Ellicott Police and the New York State Police to stop a vehicle traveling on I -86 (Southern Tier Expressway) Friday evening, Oct. 30.
A search warrant was obtained for the vehicle and the subsequent search of the vehicle yielded approximately one half pound of uncut heroin. Investigators have charged 55 year-old Edgardo Hernandez and 59 year-old Orlando Collazo, both of Jamestown, with 2nd degree criminal possession of a Controlled Substance ( A2 Felony) and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both subjects were arraigned in Ellicott Town Court and have been committed to the Chautauqua County Jail.
Hernandez was also arrested in January 2015 for possessing heroin, making this his second heroin-related arrest in less than one year.

i have a business on second st and every school day in the morning around 730 and again in the afternoon from 2 until about 4 can look out my window and see at least three and sometimes more school age kids smoking drugs. the police cant catch them and the school says its not their problem. no wonder there is such a demand for the drugs.and our kids cant possibly learn when high! please dont mention my name or place of business, id like to continue working and have a car.
