KENTUCKY – A person of interest in the disappearance of Corrie Anderson has been arrested on rape and kidnapping charges.
According to media reports, 56 year-old Kenneth Anderson was arrested in Kentucky last week after being accused of kidnapping a woman from New York, sexually assaulting her and transporting her to a hotel in Madison County, KY at gunpoint.
Anderson was the husband of Corrie Anderson, who disappeared in October 2008. She was last seen leaving a Jamestown car dealership. Her car was spotted two days later near her home, which lead to a full-fledged search by state police.
Prior to her disappearance, Corrie was reportedly having marital problems with Kenneth Anderson and the two were separated. Though the case is still active, investigators never charged Anderson with his estranged wife’s disappearance.
The couple had three children together. There is no word if he will face charges in New York State.
Corrie Anderson’s family has set up a website devoted to the disappearance, which can be found at www.findcorrie.com. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation at (716) 665-3526. Please refer to SJS# 2743966.
