JAMESTOWN – It’s graduation day for thousands of students across New York state along with hundreds of outgoing seniors right here in Jamestown. The Jamestown High School Graduation Ceremony will be held tonight at 7 p.m. in the Chautauqua Institution Amphitheater. Carlos Ojeda, Jr. is the commencement speaker and has been called one of the most dynamic speakers under thirty-five in America today. The native of Newark, NJ has worked extensively with high school and college aged youths, spreading his message of education, leadership, community activism and entrepreneurship. Jamestown High School has also announced its 2012 Valedictorian is Nate Larson and Salutatorian is Holly Johnson.
Other graduations taking place tonight include Cassadaga Valley, Clymer, Frewsburg, Maple Grove, Panama, Randolph, and Sherman – all at their respective auditoriums. Meanwhile, Southwestern Central School will hold its graduation tonight at the Reg Lenna Civic Center.
