WASHINGTON – Chautauqua County’s current Congressman, Brian Higgins, has announced the Department of Homeland Security is extending the application deadline for grants through the Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) Program. The original deadline was Friday, April 27 – but it has now been extended to Friday, May 4. The congressman says the extension is due to a change in the question section.
The Fire Prevention and Safety grants are intended to help local organizations address fire prevention and safety issues with the primary goal of reaching high-risk target groups including children, seniors and firefighters.
