JAMESTOWN – Another investigation into the sale of heroin in Jamestown has led to the arrest of two city residents.
City police say Barry Matteson and Elizabeth Griffin – both 22 – were charged Tuesday afternoon after authorities executed a search warrant at a residence at 516 Newland Ave. Police say during the search, a quantity of heroin was found inside the home, along with paraphernalia and cash. Officers also say two children were also in the home at the time of the search.
Matteson was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.
Griffin was also charged with child endangerment.
Both were sent to the city jail and are awaiting arraignment.
