JAMESTOWN – Group and individual registrations are being accepted for Hands On Jamestown 2015, the city’s largest volunteer-driven community clean-up effort.
The event, presented by M&T Bank, is dedicated to cleaning downtown Jamestown, outlying neighborhoods, and major roadways that lead into the city. It will take place on Saturday, May 16.
Volunteers of Hands On Jamestown begin their morning at City Hall on event day with an 8:00 am check-in and registration. Gloves, tools, garbage bags, and other supplies are distributed by the City of Jamestown Parks Department at that time, but volunteers are encouraged to bring some of their own tools as supplies are limited.
Continental breakfast items, coffee, and water will be available at the start of the event with a thank you lunch at noon at Winter Garden Plaza on North Main Street.
Once again, the event is being coordinated by the Jamestown Renaissance Corporation. For more information on Hands On Jamestown or to sign up as a group or an individual, please visit www.jamestownrenaissance.org or call 664-2477 ext 226.
