FREWSBURG – The Chautauqua County sheriff’s department responded to a car-pedestrian accident in Frewsburg on Friday afternoon.
According to a media release, investigators say 62 year-old Susan Burns of Rock Hill, South Carolina was traveling eastbound on Route 62 around 5:15 p.m. Friday when she struck 52-year-old Darrell Greene of Jamestown. Greene was in the eastbound lane directing traffic for a U-Haul trailer that was being extracted from a ditch. Deputies say Burns was not visible to Greene until the moment before the accident.
Greene was taken to the Hamot Medical Center in Erie for non-life threatening injuries and the investigation is continuing.
