JAMESTOWN – New York State Police have arrested four area teenagers after they allegedly stole a vehicle in the town of Kiantone.
State police say the incident took place on Sunday when the vehicle’s owner parked his car on his friend’s property, but when he returned 20 minutes later it was gone.
During this time, an accident was reported in Jamestown, where four teens were observed fleeing the vehicle. They were arrested a short time later after being identified by witnesses.
All four teens were transported to the state police barracks in Jamestown and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th Degree. One of the teens was also charged with Criminal Impersonation 2nd Degree when he initially provided a false identity.
All four teens were processed and one of the teens was released to his father due to his age.
The other three teens were arraigned in the Town of Ellicott Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail with no bail. The names of the teens are not being released due to their ages.
