JAMESTOWN – Four people face charges after local law enforcement made two separate investigations in the city on Thursday.
According to Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings, an ongoing investigation into the sales and trafficking of illegal narcotics in the Jamestown area led investigators from the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the NY State Police CNET to execute a search warrant at 344 E 4th Street Apartment 1.
Inside the apartment police located 120 bags of heroin, cash, and a shotgun. Taken into custody was 61 year-old Juan Garcia Pinto and 53 year-old Jose Diaz Solis.
Both subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and are currently being held in the City Jail
Meanwhile police also executed a search warrant at 718 Cherry Street in the basement apartment on Thursday during a separate investigation.
According to Cheif Snellings, a quantity of heroin and cash was seized from inside the apartment. Taken into custody was 41 year-old Angel Cintron Fernandez and 20 year-old Luis A. Cintron. Both subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree. Luis Cintron was also charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence (Felony).
Both subjects were arraigned and sent to the County Jail.
