JAMESTOWN – City police are investigating a reported Arson that took place in the downtown on Tuesday morning.
A report in the Jamestown Post-Journal say fire officials were called to a vacant home on First Street just after 9:40 a.m. The home is located near just a few hundred feet from Jamestown High School, where workers reportedly saw smoke coming from the home and called the fire department.
When fire crews arrived, a small fire was found in the house and immediately put out.
No injuries were reported and anyone who may have details into the incident is asked to call police at 483-7507.
