JAMESTOWN – City police are investigating yet another arson in the city.
According to a report in Tuesday’s Post-Journal, a vacant home at 420 Falconer Street was allegedly set on fire overnight Sunday – with fire crews responding to the address at 12:30 a.m. Monday and finding it fully involved in flames.
While no serious injuries were reported, two firefighters did suffer minor injuries.
The home was already scheduled for asbestos abatement and demolition. The burnout structure was demolished later in the day on Monday.
According to the Post-Journal, there have already been 12 reported arsons in Jamestown this year. That’s compared to 20 for the entire year in 2014 and 14 for all of 2013.
