FALCONER – Village officials have once again postponed the planned Comprehensive Plan Open House.
The event was originally scheduled at the end of November but rescheduled due to a winter storm. It was then rescheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8, but that has since been postponed, this time due to a death in the Falconer Community.
Organizers of the event say long time firefighter and past Fire Chief Wayne Oste passed away this week and they’ve made the decision to postpone the Open House so that village administration, committee members and residents would be able to attend Oste’s funeral.
The group is looking to reschedule the open house sometime early January.
The open house will allow residents and community stakeholders the opportunity to review an economic development plan for Falconer to address challenges facing the village since two major fires took place less than a year apart in the central business district of the village.
