JAMESTOWN – The area’s new environmental group, Cattaraugus-Chautauqua for Clean Water, is sponsoring a presentation about hydraulic fracturing at the James Prendergast Library Tuesday Night, Oct. 22.
The presentation is entitled Fracking 101: Separating Fracking Facts from Fracking Fiction. It covers the geological, technological, environmental and social aspects of this controversial extraction method and will be followed by a question and answer session.
The presentation is free and open to the public. It will take place in the Prendergast Library’s Fireplace Room, beginning at 7 p.m.
