JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting Thursday that the Ellicottville Brewing Company will be setting up a new location in Bemus Point at the former Surf Club.
According to the report, last year Ellicottville Brewing purchased the former Surf Club, which has remained unused since 2011. The village has now sent out a legal notice for a Planning Board hearing that will focus on a new sign for the building. The signage issue has been deferred to a county planning board because the building is located on a county road. If approved by the county, the village will then take up a similar measure.
If all goes according to plan, the new restaurant – which will likely be similar to the satellite operation in Fredonia – will open later this year, likely in the late spring or early summer.
