JAMESTOWN – The weather is promising to cooperate as an annual Jamestown tradition gets underway on Saturday, Jan. 20.
More than a dozen different area attractions will be participating in the Doors Open Jamestown 2018, scheduled to take place from 10am to 5pm Saturday throughout the Greater Jamestown Area.
Doors open Jamestown will feature Free Admission to our Attractions, raffles at each attraction, and incentives for visiting downtown retail and restaurants.
Local downtown destinations that will be taking part include:
- Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame
- Chautauqua Striders
- Dykeman-Young Gallery
- Infinity Visual and Performing Arts
- Prendergast Library
- Lucy-Desi Museum
- Northwest Arena
- Reg Lenna Center for the Arts
- Robert H. Jackson Center
- The Spire Theater.
Other attractions outside of the immediate downtown include:
- Audubon Community Nature Center
- Busti Grist Mill
- Daughters of the American Revolution
- the Fenton History Center
- the Martz Observatory
- Roger Tory Peterson Institute.
As for the weather forecast, the National Weather Service says the Jamestown area will see partly sunny skies on Saturday with a high reaching the upper 30s to near 40.
