JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting that a Jamestown location for the federally funded Chautauqua Center has been identified.
According to the paper, the demolition of the former Artone LLC building on Institute Street will make room for a new Chautauqua Center building.
The multi-story building will have 30 medical rooms, 12 dental rooms and 12 behavioral rooms and is being paid for through a $4.6 million federal grant.
The demolition will take two-three weeks with an additional week needed for cleaning up debris.
The Chautauqua Center is a non-profit, grant-funded patient-centered medical home with locations in Dunkirk and Jamestown. The non-profit is a federally qualified health center that offers health care for “at risk” individuals.
The first location opened in Dunkirk in 2013 and a temporary location opened in Jamestown in 2015.
