MAYVILLE – Day seven of the Anthony Robert Taglianetti trial takes place today in Chautauqua County court. On Wednesday, the district attorney’s office continued to call various investigators to the stand.
Among the testimony that was given was that Taglianetti’s laptop showed that a flight was booked for Oct. 12, 2012, from Washington, D.C., to Tel Aviv, Israel. The reservation had been made the afternoon of Sept. 28, 2012. Taglianetti was arrested a couple hours later.
Another in investigator testified that Taglianetti’s cellphone was traced to cell towers in the Clymer area.
Taglianetti is accused of shooting and killing Clymer School Superintendent Keith Reed Jr. the night of Sept. 21, 2012. Prosecutors say he drove 350 miles from his Virginia home to Clymer to confront Reed after learning of an online affair between Reed and his wife.
If convicted, Taglianetti faces 25 years to life in prison. The trial resumes Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Chautauqua County Court.
