MAYVILLE – Members of the Chautauqua County Legislature will get their chance to learn more about the latest prospective buyer of the Chautauqua County Home.
Legislature Chairman Jay Gould has scheduled a special meeting of the Legislature, to be held in the Legislative Chambers, on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 6:30 PM. The sole purpose of the meeting will be to allow for further presentation – along with a question and answer session – with representatives of VestraCare. The group was first introduced to the legislature at the August 28 County Legislature meeting.
The special meeting was scheduled following the arrival of a proposed contract – which was finalized Monday – for purchase of the Chautauqua County Home by corporate entities formed by VestraCare. A deposit of $1,650,000 has been wired today to the County’s outside counsel.
The special meeting on Oct. 9 will be open to the public.
