MAYVILLE – County Executive George Borrello is asking the Chautauqua County Legislature for a change of venue for its April voting session to accommodate his first State of the County speech.
Borrello says he wants to invite a large number of stakeholders to hear the speech first-hand, and that would require a larger venue. As a result, he wants to move it from the Gerace Office building in Mayville to the Chautauqua Lake Central School auditorium, located just up the road.
The change in location must be approved by the county legislature, which will take action on the matter during its March voting session, scheduled for next Wednesday.
