MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County democrats are looking for potential candidates for a second Chautauqua County family court judge.
Democratic Committee Chair Norman Green says any qualified individual should contact him expressing interest, regardless of political affiliation. While no official word has been given that a new position has been created, recent media reports say that is is likely. Green says depending on the timing of the signing into law by Gov. Cuomo, county Democrats will either nominate a candidate by petition or if signed into law after July 5th by Certificate of Nomination filed by the party.

The letters will be forwarded to the local Democratic committees for review.
Green added that he is also accepting candidate applications for other open positions including Busti town clerk and town justice, Chautauqua town clerk, Sherman town clerk and town justice, and village trustees for Celoron.
