WARREN, PA – A Corry, Pennsylvania woman has been charged with criminal homicide following the beating death of a Warren woman that took place Wednesday.
According to a report in the Erie Times-News, 27-year-old Danielle Craker of Corry is being held in the Warren County jail without bond after the body of a 50 year old woman was discovered at a residence on W. Fifth Ave. The Warren Times Observer is reporting the victim as 50-year-old Robin Ostrowski.
Warren police accuse Craker of beating Ostrowski repeatedly in the face during an argument on Wednesday afternoon. Craker then reportedly left the residence after the attack.
Police were initially called to the residence Thursday afternoon to investigate a report of an unknown medical problem. Officers who responded encountered a man outside, identified as 58-year-old Melvin Atwell, who was reportedly in an intoxicated state and told officers he discovered his girlfriend unresponsive in the upstairs apartment. Officers entered the apartment and found Ostrowski, who was bloodied in the face, had a broken nose and was “cold to the touch.”
According to the report in the Erie paper, police said two other people were involved, one of whom was Craker. She was located and interviewed by police, who reportedly said she was upset with Ostrowski and got into a fight with her, punching her numerous times in the face before leaving the residence.
Craker was charge with criminal homicide and sent to the Warren County jail without bail. Atwell was charged with recklessly endangering another person. He was arraigned and jailed on $30,000 bond.
