JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman has been arrested following a stabbing incident that occurred Tuesday morning.
The Jamestown Police Department was called at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday to UPMC Chautauqua for a reported stabbing. Police learned a victim had been stabbed during a dispute that occurred earlier on Winsor Street.
The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Damaris Lopez-Mendoza. She was located at the hospital and arrested on a charge of second-degree assault, then was transported to Jamestown City Jail where she was held pending arraignment.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital.
