JAMESTOWN – Residents in Jamestown are being invited to attend a series of two Public Workshops to solicit input on the city’s 2019 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Program Action Plans.
The first Public Workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9 at the James Prendergast Library. The second Public Workshop will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 at Persell Middle School.
Each year the city qualifies for federal grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for housing and community development projects. In order to receive funding, the City is required to submit a Consolidated Action Plan that outlines community needs and how grant funds will be prioritized. Part of the process of developing that plan is by allowing for public input.
City of Jamestown residents are encouraged to attend and share your input. Any questions or comments should be directed to Crystal Surdyk, Principal Planner by email at surdyk@cityofJamestownny.com or phone at 716-483-7659.
