JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that took place just before 6 p.m. Friday, July 24 in the parking lot of Tops at 2000 Washington St. in Jamestown.
According to police, a vehicle drove up to the unidentified victim as he walked out of the store. The victim was then shot several times at close range by an occupant within the vehicle. The vehicle then left the scene and drove north on Washington St. towards Fluvanna Ave.
Police say the vehicle is described as a Ford Focus. Surveillance cameras captured a vehicle leaving the scene and police are asking for the public’s help.
