JAMESTOWN – Jamestown police are asking the public to help solve a string of arson fires that were recently set in the city.
Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson says three arsons occurred in vacant homes during the last part of Decmeber. The most recent fires took place last Wednesday morning at 866 1/2 Spring St. and 1052 N. Main St. Police say a fire was also intentionally set the morning of Dec. 24 at 1054 1/2 N. Main St. Samuelson said all three bear similarities in technique and are believed to be related.
Anyone with information on these fires is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department at 483-7531. Anonymous tips can be left on the department’s tip line at 483-TIPS (8477). All calls will be kept confidential.
