JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police have released video footage containing images of the person they believe is responsible for last week’s rash of arsons.
On Thursday investigators posted a black and white video on the Jamestown Police Department Facebook page. Part of the footage shows a man walking near the fire at 650 E. Sixth St., at about 11 p.m. Friday. He is wearing a hoodie and with a thinner build, perhaps in the 6-foot-tall range.
The man is believed to be responsible for 11 fires targeting vacant and condemned buildings since January in Jamestown, including last weekend’s rash of five fires.
While the video doesn’t show the individual’s face, police are hoping that someone may recognize the individual’s walk or someone may have been in the area and noticed him and got a better look.
Anyone who may recognize or know who the suspect is in this video, or who may have any information regarding the arsons, is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Departments Anonymous Tip Line at 483- Tips (8477) or they can leave a tip on the Tips 411 App.
