JAMESTOWN – City police have arrested an unidentified male after he allegedly tried to rob the CVS pharmacy and convenience store in Brooklyn Square late Sunday night.
According to a media release, city police were called to the CVS at the corner of Harrison and Main Streets at about 10:30 p.m. for a report of a man attempting to rob the store at knife point. The individual fled the scene but police were able to locate him as he tried to cross the Chadakoin River. He was caught by police and taken into custody. The name of the suspect was not released but police say he has been charged with first degree robbery, menacing and petty larceny.
The unidentified suspect is currently awaiting arraignment in city court.
