City Police Investigate Thanksgiving Day Homicide, Seek Public’s Help

Jamestown Police BadgeUPDATE [10:50 a.m. Thursday] – Jamestown Police are confirming at this time that there are two other shooting victims from this incident that are currently being treated at area hospitals for non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The identity of the male victim who died at the scene is not being released at this time.

“We are in the process of notifying the deceased family members. Please respect this and DO NOT publish the victim’s name etc.. if you are already seeing it on social media,” said Capt. Robert Samuelson.

JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police were busy Thanksgiving morning investigating a homicide that took place during the early morning hours.

Police say a party was underway at 129 South Main St. in Jamestown when, just after 4 a.m., an altercation occurred in the street that resulted in multiple shots being fired, with one person being shot and killed. The victim’s name is not being released at this time.

It is believed that the multiple people witnessed the incident. Investigators are looking for anyone who may have information on the incident to contact them at (716) 483-7537 or they can leave an anonymous tip at (716) 483-8477 (TIPS). They can also leave a tip via the department’s Facebook page with the tip link.

    These people need to realize that walking around shooting and killing each other is like being on roller skates and trying to fact track a trip to hell and wamting to get there faster than the guy standing behind them!
