JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police are investigating a homicide that took place Sunday night on the city’s north side.

According to Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson, the incident took place at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at 501 Lakeview Ave. Police say 23 year-old Barbara Redeye allegedly stabbed a male victim, identified as 36 year-old Dale A. Redeye, who was found in an upstairs apartment. Police say he died at the scene as a result of the stabbing.

Barbara Redeye is in custody and has been charged with 2nd degree murder. She was sent to the county jail without bail.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Forensic Investigation Team, the New York state Police and the Town of Ellicott all assisted at the scene.
