Melvin Ingram and Ricardo Ramos were arrested by Jamestown NY Police during separate drug investigations on Feb. 26 and Feb. 27, 2015.

JAMESTOWN – Two city men were arrested late last week on drug-related charges.

Jamestown police say the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force conducted two raids last Thursday afternoon and Friday morning at apartments located at 143 English St. and 607 Washington St.

During the investigation on English St., police say 27-year old Ricardo O. Ramos was arrested and taken into custody after officers found nine grams of cocaine, a quantity of cash and items used for selling drug inside the home.

The investigation on Washington St. resulted in the arrest of 37-year old Melvin Ingram. Police say Ingram allegedly tried to flush multiple bundles of heroin down a toilet as officers entered the house, with officers recovering more than 20 bundles from the toilet.

Anyone with information on the illegal sales or possession of drugs can call the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force’s anonymous tip line at 483-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
