JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man has been arrested and charged with possessing and selling untaxed cigarettes.
City police say 46 year-old Steven Patterson was taken into custody Tuesday after a search warrant was executed at his home at 262 Forest Ave.
During the search, officers reportedly found more than 50 cartons of untaxed cigarettes and “several thousand dollars in cash.”
Patterson was charged with fifth-degree criminal tax fraud and felony possession of unstamped/untaxed cigarettes.
He was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
