JAMESTOWN – A city man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on burglary related charges.
City police say 49 year-old Everett Ecker, Jr. allegedly entered the victim’s home on Hedges Ave. at about 3:45 p.m. and choked the victim, restraining her ability to leave. As the victim tried to call 911 Ecker also allegedly broke her cell phone.
Ecker eventually fled the scene and was located a short time later. He was charged with 2nd degree burglary, criminal obstruction of breathing, 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment, criminal mischief, and harassment. He’ll be arraigned Thursday in Jamestown city court.
