JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man has been charged with second degree assault after reportedly stabbing another man in the chest at a local bar.
Jamestown Police say 36 year-old Jarod Leroy allegedly got into an argument with another individual on Saturday night at the Crescent Inn, located on Harrison St. in Jamestown.
According to police, during the argument Leroy pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
Leroy was located and sent to the city jail and charged with second-degree assault. He is being held pending arraignment.
The status of the victim was not immediately released.
