JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is in the city jail this morning awaiting arraignment after fleeing from police on a motorcycle Tuesday afternoon.
Jamestown police say 38-year-old Joey Weise allegedly committed a traffic violation around 4:40 p.m. on Washington and West Third streets. When officers tried to stop Weise, he reportedly fled at a high rate of speed.
The chase continued for a short time until police called it off due to high speeds. However, police later received a call from a resident in West Ellicott who saw an individual hiding a motorcycle in a nearby woods.
Weise was located and taken into custody and faces multiple charges.
