JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man has been arrested on arson charges after a fire broke out and seriously hurt one person late Friday night.
Jamestown Police captain Robert Samuelson says the fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. at 105 Weeks St. An upstairs occupant was able to escape but was seriously burned. He was taken to ECMC in Buffalo.
Samuelson said an investigation found that 49-year-old Danny Phanco allegedly set the fire on purpose. He was charged with second-degree arson, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree reckless endangerment.
