JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man was arrested Tuesday on charges related to possession of drugs and a handgun.
City police say 38 year-old Douglas Wood was charged during a street check Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of West Sixth Street and Fairview Avenue.
Wood allegedly ran from police when confronted but was eventually taken into custody. Police say they found a .357 revolver and a small amount of methamphetamine on him during a search.
Wood was taken to the city jail to await arraignment on related charges.
