JAMESTOWN – City Police have a man in custody following a report of a shooting incident early Saturday morning.
No one was injured in the incident, which took place around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the area of 45 Franklin St.
Police were called to the scene following a report of a fight where two shots were fired. On arrival, officers learned 34-year-old Desimon Elston fired the shots from a pistol at another person, and then ran from the scene into 55 Franklin St.
Police took Elston into custody in a neighboring yard without incident and a .45 caliber pistol was located as part of the investigation.
Elson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree and additional charges are expected.
