JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown firefighter was sent to the county jail following an alleged domestic incident involving a handgun.
Jamestown Police were called to 23 Alfred St. around 8 p.m. Saturday for a report of a domestic dispute. Police say the victim accused her 35 year-old Ryan DiDomenico of holding her down on the floor against her will while holding a handgun. During the altercation, a single round was fired from the handgun into a wall of the residence.
The victim also informed police that she tried to call 911 during the incident but DiDomenico had taken her cellphone, forcing her to flee to a neighbor’s house.
DiDomenico is facing charges of second-degree menacing, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, first-degree reckless endangerment, criminal obstruction of breathing and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He is reportedly the treasurer for the Jamestown Professional Firefighters Local 1772.
