JAMESTOWN – Jamestown city police say two Jamestown residents have been taken into custody after an investigation found several thousand dollars’ worth of drugs at a James Avenue home. Police say 50 year-old Julie Carlson and 54 year-old Keith Carlson face several drug-related charges after their arrest Monday morning in their home at 413 James Ave. The arrest came after drug investigators received tips from concerned citizens about possible drug activity. An investigation and search resulted in police finding $18,000 cash; three ounces of cocaine with a street value of $15,000; 112 grams of marijuana; a variety of prescription drugs; and drug-related paraphernalia. Both subjects were arrested and sent to the city jail, pending arraignment.
The Jamestown Police Department is also still actively seeking tips on any drug-related crimes.
