JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown City Council will be holding its monthly voting session tonight at City hall with several routine items on the agenda.
Among them is a resolution approving Jamestown Community College’s acquisitions of its first two residence halls from the JCC Development Corporation in order to refinance the existing debt. The two halls were opened in 2008. A third hall is currently being constructed.
Council members will also act on a resolution accepting a $5,000 grant from the Chautauqua Regional Community Foundation to help pay for an upgrade at Russell E. Diethrick Jr. Park. – home of the Jamestown Jammers professional baseball team. The upgrade involves creating a club section near left field, similar to the one that is currently in place past the first base dugout near right field.
Tonight’s meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers.
