MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies have arrested a bus driver from Chautauqua Lake Central School with a charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Edward Farnsworth, 58, of Dewittville was driving a bus for the school district the afternoon of April 28 when he allegedly engaged in an action that constituted endangering the welfare of a child on his bus. No other details into the incident were provided.
Following an investigation Farnsworth was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and issued an appearance ticket for town of Chautauqua Court.
The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting that Farnsworth was a substitute bus driver and that he has not driven a bus for the district since the school learned of the allegation.
