MAYVILLE – Chautauqua County Executive George Borrello will deliver his first State of the County address to the Chautauqua County Legislature later this week in Mayville.
However, unlike past years when the county executive has delivered his state of the county from the legislative chambers, this year’s address will involve a different location.
The address will instead be held in the auditorium of Chautauqua Lake Central School, to better accommodate a number of guests that have also been invited to attend.
“I will soon be revealing the findings from my 100 Business Visits in 100 Daysand setting our course to Elevating Chautauqua County during my 2018 State of the County address,” Borrello said in his Monday Morning Memo e-newsletter sent out on April 23.
Borrello was elected county executive in November 2017 and was sworn into office on Jan. 1, 2018. Since then he has focused on meeting with various businesses across the county as a fact-finding mission to better determine the county’s economic development agenda and focus during his four-year term in office.
In addition to the state of the county address, the legislature’s regular meeting for April will also take place at the school.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night and is open to the public.
