ORCHARD PARK – The Buffalo Bills formally introduced its new head coach Rex Ryan during a press conference Wednesday afternoon in Orchard Park. Ryan was named the new coach on Monday following an extensive search by team ownership and management. He replaces former coach Doug Marone, who announced he was leaving the team on Dec. 31.
Ryan agreed to a five-year contract with the Bills reportedly worth $27.5 million. The former New York Jets head coach, lauded as a defensive genius, has a reputation as a coach players love to play for.
Ryan says his goal is to turn the Bills into a “bully” and get the team back into the post-season. The bills have missed the playoffs for 16 straight years.
