ELLERY – A Bemus Point Man has been arrested for allegedly resisting arrest during an incident that took place early Saturday morning.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an address on Williams Ave. in the Town of Ellery just after 1 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1 for a harassment complaint.
On arrival police learned that 44 year-old Michael Bartok had thrown a cigarette lighter at another person, striking them in the head.
When deputies attempted to charge Bartok, he allegedly resisted and after a brief struggle was taken into custody.
Bartok was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and harassment.
